Step Show Sponsorship

Stomp Show Sponsorship
The Kennedy Center of Louisiana’s Transitional Living Program offer’s housing and other support to homeless runaway youth in North Louisiana. Our Safe Haven program is funded by Family And Youth Services Bureau, which supports projects that provide long-term residential services to homeless youth ages 16-22. The services offered are designed to help young people who are homeless make a transition to self-sufficient living.

In an effort to “ Stomp Out” homelessness and transient living situations that occur often in our community, The Kennedy Center Of Louisiana, along with our partnering agencies will be hosting a fundraiser and outreach event to raise community awareness and provide resources and needed aid to homeless runaway, and other throwaway youth.

The event will consist of a competitive Step Show hosted by Southern University of Shreveport on August 8, 2015, which will allow area youth to learn about sportsmanship in a friendly competitive manner, while also educating the community and area youth about the needs of our youth. This event will be twofold while educating the community, we will also recruit and share resources to youth in need.
